Purple Moonbeam

'Purple Moonbeam' is a detailed and tactile piece of wall art and is entirely unique and handmade using the technique of macrame with soft twisted cotton cords in a palette of purple hues. The design features textural picots which contrast with the uniform square knotting and creates a sense of shifting visual elements. The perception of form and volume is achieved through the use of graduating colour tones in the spherical form of chunky loops which stand proud and add air to the density of the main body. 
 
The wall hanging is finished by the beautiful fringe which features details of wrap knotting in complementary colours. The piece is knotted on to a purple transparent acrylic solid dowel which glows when a light source is directed towards it.
