Snowfield Study #1

Study of a field cloaked in winter snow in the northern fells of the Lake District. Looking across the rise and fall of the undulating ground and the long shadows created by the late afternoon sun on the sodden earth.  The light reflecting properties of the metallic and gloss or matt paints and the shadows created by the individually rolled clay elements represent the sense of shadow and light movement on the landscape.
